THREE <br /> March 27, 2009 <br /> <br /> 2.17 REINFORCED CONCRETE SOUND WALL FOUNDATION <br /> This section shall conform to Subsections 201-1, "Portland Cement Concrete" and 201-2, <br /> "Reinforcement for Concrete" of the Standard Specifications and these provisions. <br /> <br /> Shop drawings for the reinforced concrete sound wall foundation shall be submitted to the <br /> engineer for approval. <br /> <br /> 2.18 STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN (SWPPP) <br /> <br /> Prior to Contractor commencing work, a completed Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan <br /> (SWPPP) shall be on file at the construction site to comply with the State General Construction <br /> Activity Storm Water Permit. The SWPPP shall be considered as part of these Special <br /> Provisions. <br /> As part of the permitting process, the Contractor shall administer a Storm Water Pollution Plan <br /> (SWPPP). Any additional work required for compliance with the requirements of the SWPPP <br /> shall be performed by the Contractor and full compensation for conforming to these Special <br /> Provisions shall be considered as included in the various items of work involved and no <br /> additional compensation will be allowed therefore. No significant storm water quality problems <br /> are anticipated as a result of construction activity of this project. If problems develop, however, <br /> the Contractor shall comply with all the conditions contained within the SWPPP. <br /> <br /> A sample of SWPPP document is available for review by the Contractor at the Public Works <br /> Agency, Design Engineering Section. The Contractor is notified that the sample SWPPP is a <br /> conceptual document and does not necessarily contain all information required for Contractor's <br /> specific construction site or construction methods. <br /> <br /> The SWPPP document shall include, at a minimum, all items in Section A of the State General <br /> Construction Activity Storm Water Permit (see Appendix "G" of these special provisions). The <br /> SWPPP monitoring program and reporting requirements shall include, at a minimum, all items <br /> in Sections B and C of the State General Construction Activity Storm Water Permit. <br /> The Contractor shall submit SWPPP for review by the Engineer. The Contractor shall not <br /> commence activity until the SWPPP have been reviewed. <br /> <br /> The Contractor is notified that the SWPPP must be amended from time to time during <br /> construction to reflect actual construction practices. <br /> <br /> The SWPPP document shall not be construed to be a waiver of the Contractor's obligation to <br /> review and understand the State General Construction Activity Storm Water Permit before <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 29 <br />
