Attachment 1 <br />Statement of Work <br />City of Santa Ana <br />Hereinafter Referred to as CONTRACTOR <br />Contract Number ML11041 <br />Project Description <br />CONTRACTOR will purchase seven (7) liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) heavy-duty, <br />vehicles as specified below. CONTRACTOR will also purchase and install verified after- <br />treatment devices on six of CONTRACTOR's heavy-duty diesel vehicles as specified <br />below. <br />Statement of Work <br />Vehicles <br />CONTRACTOR shall purchase seven (7) LPG heavy-duty vehicles, each with gross <br />vehicle weight rating greater than 14,000 pounds and equipped with a dedicated LPG <br />engine. Vehicles are required to operate for a minimum of five years, but it is expected <br />that the vehicles will continue to operate for their entire life expectancy. <br />Vehicles Life Expectancy <br />7 LPG Ford F-550 Trucks 10 ears each <br />Each engine must be certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) at, or <br />cleaner than, the 2010 heavy-duty engine emission standards of 0.2 g/bhp-hr for oxides <br />of nitrogen (NOx) and 0.01 g/bhp-hr for particulate matter (PM). <br />CONTRACTOR shall be reimbursed for vehicles according to the costs stated in <br />Attachment 2 - Payment Schedule. <br />Retrofits <br />CONTRACTOR shall purchase, install and operate after-treatment devices on six (6) of <br />CONTRACTOR's heavy-duty diesel vehicles, each with gross vehicle weight rating <br />greater than 14,000 pounds. The specific vehicles to be retrofitted are as follows: <br />Vehicle Description Expected Life After Retrofit <br />1998 Ford F-450 Boom Truck 5 ears <br />2000 GMC C71-1042 Dump Truck 5 ears <br />1995 Ford CF7000 Water Truck 5 ears <br />1992 Ford CF7000 Water Truck 5 ears <br />1993 International 460OLP Cement Truck 5 ears <br />1992 GMC TC7H042 Clam Truck 5 ears <br />Each after-treatment device must be verified by the California Air Resources Board <br />(GARB) to CARB's Level 3 standard. Level 3 verification is for those technologies <br />achieving at least an 85% or greater reduction in particulate matter. Additionally, <br />CARB's verification is often limited to specific engine families and/or may include other <br />conditions. Each retrofitted vehicle must satisfy any and all conditions associated with <br />the specific after-treatment device's verification. <br />10 <br />55A-48
