This contribution shall be paid in accordance <br />with Government Code section 20516(f). <br />City agrees that if, upon completion of negotiations for a successor MOU with the <br />FBA and all other safety units/employees, the City has not agreed to (or imposed) an <br />employee retirement contribution (either as cost sharing or employer paid member <br />contribution) at the same or greater percentage as to that paid by safety employees <br />who are covered by this Agreement, the City will return the 3.5% salary increase <br />(retroactive to July 1, 2012) to employees covered by this Agreement. <br />B. An employee covered by this Agreement who provides written notice to the City's <br />Benefits and Compensation Manager prior to June 30, 2009, of his or her express <br />intention to retire from City employment on or before January 1, 2011, shall be <br />governed by the following: <br />1. Effective July 1, 2009, the base salary of an employee who has notified the <br />City of his or her intent to retire from City employment on or before January <br />1, 2011, shall be increased by eight (8) salary rate ranges (approximately 4%); <br />2. Effective January 1, 2010, the base salary of an employee who has notified <br />the City of his or her intent to retire from City employment on or before <br />January 1, 2011, shall be increased by five (5) salary rate ranges <br />(approximately 2.5%); <br />3.
