Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2012 -17 as conditioned. <br />3. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2012 -06 (a) as conditioned to allow a reduction in <br />required parking for the high school. <br />4. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2012 -06 (b) as conditioned to exceed the allowable <br />building height. <br />5. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2012 -06 (c) as conditioned to exceed the allowable <br />fence height. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Request of the Applicant <br />Chris Simonsen, representing Orangewood Children's Foundation, is requesting approval of a <br />conditional use permit and variance to allow the construction of The Academy Charter High School <br />at 1901 North Fairview Street. Specifically, the applicant is requesting approval per Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code (SAMC) Section 41- 313.5(c), which requires a conditional use permit for a school <br />use in the Professional (P) zoning district, a variance from Section 41 -1401 of the SAMC to allow a <br />reduction in required parking for a high school, a variance from Section 41 -314 of the SAMC to <br />exceed the maximum building height of 35 feet, and a variance from Section 41 -322 to allow a wall <br />to exceed the maximum allowable height. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
