Contract Award For Omnibus Concrete <br />September 17, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />Bid notices were mailed out to the contractors. One bid was received from Hardy & Harper, Inc. <br />and is deemed responsive. Although the City received one bid on this project, Hardy & Harper, Inc. <br />is a local contractor and has contracted with the City for the Omnibus Concrete project in the past. <br />The company has performed the past contracts competently and on time; therefore, it is <br />recommended that the City award the contract to the sole bidder, Hardy & Harper, Inc., in the <br />amount of $463,850. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed project is exempt from <br />future review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. 2012-64 will be filed for the <br />project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of $556,600 for the project <br />(Exhibit 1).
