City of Santa Ana <br />perform services under the Contract, whether under the First Tier Service or under the Mutual Aid <br />Contract (each of which is defined below), shall be hereinafter referred to as the "Transportation <br />Personnel." The provision of the First Tier Service and the Mutual Aid Service, together with all of <br />the other services, duties and obligations Contractor may provide under the proposed Contract, shall <br />be hereinafter jointly referred to as the "9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Service" or "9-1-1 <br />Emergency Transportation Services." <br />The details of the 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Services which must be provided by Contractor <br />under the proposed Contract are as follows: <br />1.2. 1 First Tier Service <br />The proposed Contractor will be required to provide, with its own forces, a sufficient number of fully <br />equipped ambulances and Transportation Personnel, so as to provide, in accordance with OCEMS <br />standards and this RFP, all of the City's needs for 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Service, being <br />able to respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week to all 9-1-1 and other emergencies as required (referred <br />to as the "First Tier Service" or "First Tier"). The First Tier Service will be designed so as to ensure <br />that there are enough of Contractor's ambulances and Transportation Personnel available to meet <br />100% of all calls for 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Service in the City of Santa Ana within the <br />response time criteria. The First Tier Service shall meet the OCFA response times and all other <br />requirements of this RFP for the 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Service. <br />A. The provision of the First Tier Service shall include an adequate number of fully equipped <br />committed ambulances and associated staffing/Transportation Personnel, to provide 9-1-1 <br />Emergency Transportation Services exclusively for the City of Santa Ana.
