0 City of Santa Ana <br />1.2.7. Term <br />The Contract awarded under this UP is for an initial three (3) year term, with 9-1-1 Emergency <br />Transportation Service beginning at 0800 hours on the contract effective date and ending on three <br />years thereafter at 0800 hours, with two (2) optional one-year extensions. <br />1.2.8. Annual Review <br />The Contract is subject to annual review based on the criteria specified in the Contract and as outlined <br />herein. The City's intent is to contract with and hold accountable those parties working with and on <br />behalf of the City of Santa Ana and OCFA in providing 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Service to <br />the citizens and visitors of Santa Ana. <br />The Contractor is required to provide type III emergency transport (ambulance) vehicles (including <br />all costs related to maintenance, fuel, insurance, repair costs and communication equipment) for all 9- <br />1-1 Emergency Transportation Services provided under the First Tier and Mutual Aid Service. The <br />Mutual Aid Service shall also be required to meet the same personnel and vehicle requirements as are <br />required for the First Tier and Mutual Aid Service. <br />1.3 NOTICE INVITING PROPOSALS <br />Only contractors qualified under the Phase I RFP are allowed to submit a Phase II proposal. <br />1.4 REJECTION OF BIDS <br />At the sole discretion of City, City of Santa Ana reserves the right to reject any or all prequalification <br />applications and RFP bids, in whole or in part, and is not bound to accept any. The RFP bid may be <br />rejected by the City of Santa Ana if it is in any way incomplete, irregular or if it contains material <br />misrepresentations of fact or omits material information required. <br />1.5 COST OF PREPARATION <br />Proposers assume all costs associated with the preparation of their bid proposals and any oral <br />presentations that may be necessary or required throughout the procurement process. <br />Phase 2 RFP: Emergency Ambulance Transportation and Related Services Page 16 <br />June 14, 2012 <br />25F-25
