rv City of Santa Ana <br />SECTION 2 <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />2.1 BID PROPOSAL SUBMISSION PROCESS <br />The City of Santa Ana is committed to providing and maintaining the highest levels of emergency <br />response service possible to the public. In conjunction with OCFA, the provision of the 9-1-1 <br />Emergency Transportation Service pursuant to this RFP process is a critical part of the City's <br />continuing efforts to achieve this objective. <br />2.2 MANDATORY BID PROPOSAL PRE-SUBMISSION CONFERENCE <br />A bid proposal pre-submission conference will be held at the Orange County Fire Authority on <br />Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Attendance at the bid proposal pre-submission conference is <br />mandatory for all ambulance service operators who are approved during the Phase I process and <br />wish to submit a bid proposal and compete in the RFP Phase 2 process. The conference will be held <br />in the OCFA Board Breakout Room. <br />The purpose of the conference is for City of Santa Ana staff to respond to any questions, <br />concerns, comments and/or suggestions concerning the procurement process, which have been <br />submitted in advance and in writing to the OCFA Clerk of the Authority. All questions must be <br />submitted by Wednesday, June 20, 2012 to Scott Brown. The conference is also an opportunity for <br />City of Santa Ana staff and OCFA to clarify bid specifications and requirements before submission. <br />All written inquiries submitted by Proposers and the answers given by City of Santa Ana staff during <br />the bid proposal pre-submission conference will be presented at the Phase 11 Mandatory Bid <br />Conference. Proposers who do not attend the bid proposal pre-submission conference, or who do not <br />make arrangements to send a representative to attend the conference, will not be eligible to continue <br />in the RFP process. <br />2.3. BID PROPOSAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS <br />2.3.1 Bid Proposal Submission Due Date <br />In order to compete in the RFP process, all bid proposals must be completed and received by the <br />Clerk of the Authority no later than 3:00 P.M., on Monday, July 9, 2012 ("Submission Due <br />Date" J. Bid proposals must be hand-delivered or sent via courier/messenger to the OCFA Clerk of <br />the Authority. Do not send bid proposals via U.S. Mail.
