v City of Santa Ana <br />dispatch and by OCFA paramedics to communicate with base and receiving hospitals <br />during patient transport. Contractors must comply with the following 800 MHz mobile <br />radio requirements: <br />i. Contractors must obtain all necessary licenses, permits, and/or approvals from OCC <br />(and any other applicable licensing or permitting agency) to operate and maintain <br />their 800 MHz mobile radios as required herein in conjunction with the 800 MHz <br />C.C.C.S.; <br />ii. Contractors must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, statutes, and <br />regulations governing the operation of 800 MHz mobile radios, including compliance <br />with 800 MHz C.C.C.S. Standard Operating Procedures; <br />iii. Contractors must ensure that their 800 MHz mobile radios are pre-assigned to a <br />vehicle with a pre-identified radio identifier and are configured to send status and <br />message data compatible with OCFA SmartNet Information Management System <br />(SIMS), and must include an OCFA approved and issued Motorola DEKbox with 8 <br />status/message keys to transmit unit status (e.g., en route, on scene, and available <br />status functions); OCFA will configure the SIMS system to enable this feature on all <br />Contractor radios enabled on the 800 MHz C.C.C.S.; and <br />iv. All Contractor 800MHz mobile radios must meet OCFA, OCC, ECC, 800 MHz <br />C.C.C.S., and OCEMS specifications and requirements. <br />B. Mobile Data Computer System <br />Contractors must install and maintain, at their sole cost and expense, an OCFA approved <br />and issued mobile data radio at Contractors' dispatch center for purposes of sending and <br />receiving electronic emergency dispatch information, instructions, and call status. <br />Contractors must comply with the following mobile data radio system requirements: <br />i.
