Approval of Fire/EMS Emergency Ambulance <br />Transportation and Related Services Agreement <br />September 17, 2012 <br />Page 9 <br />Headquarters <br />headquarters, facilities <br />and dispatch center are <br />located in Orange, <br />California. <br />headquarters and <br />dispatch center are <br />located in Laguna <br />Hills, California. <br />headquarters and <br />dispatch center <br />(Pomona) are located <br />in Los Angeles, <br />California. <br />Schaefer has a satellite <br />office on Bristol Street <br />in Santa Ana. <br />Company <br />History and <br />9-1-1 <br />Experience <br />CHAS <br />Certification <br />(The intent of the CAAS <br />Standards is to define a <br />"gold standard" for the <br />medical transportation <br />industry of a higher <br />caliber than is typically <br />required for state or local <br />licensing. There are <br />approximately 120 <br />CARE was <br />incorporated in March <br />1988. CARE responds <br />to approximately <br />98,000 9-1-1 calls <br />annually in both <br />Orange and Los <br />Angeles County. <br />In addition to 22 cities <br />and communities in <br />South-East Los <br />Angeles area, CARE <br />currently provides 9- <br />1-1 service to the <br />following Orange <br />County EOA's; <br />Anaheim, Buena Park, <br />Costa Mesa, Cypress, <br />Fountain Valley, <br />Fullerton, Garden <br />Grove, La Palma, Los <br />Alamitos, Seal Beach, <br />and Stanton <br />CARE has been <br />accredited by the <br />Commission on <br />Accreditation of <br />Ambulance Services <br />(CAAS) since 1993. <br />Doctor's Ambulance <br />Service has been <br />providing emergency <br />ambulance services to <br />the residents and <br />visitors of Orange <br />County for over 34 <br />years. It responds to <br />over 74,000 9-1-1 <br />calls annually. <br />Doctor's currently <br />provides service to <br />Irvine, Laguna <br />Woods, Dana Point, <br />Laguna Hills, Tustin, <br />Aliso Viejo and <br />Laguna Beach. <br />Doctor's has been <br />accredited by the <br />Commission on <br />Accreditation of <br />Ambulance Services <br />(CAAS) since 2002. <br />Schaefer Ambulance <br />Service, Inc. has been <br />providing emergency <br />ambulance services to <br />the residents and <br />visitors of Imperial <br />County for over 37 <br />years and LA County <br />Fire District for over 6 <br />years. It responds to <br />approximately over <br />44,000 9-1-1 calls <br />annually. <br />Actively pursuing <br />CAAS certification. <br />25F-9
