Cornrnunication system <br />improvements that directly benefit signal synchronization along the corridor will also be <br />included. <br />The Fairview Signal synchronization project accomplishes the goals of synchronizing <br />signals across jurisdictions, through a'1-year initially funded tirmeframe to improve <br />existing traffic patterns. The end result will be a field-implemented synchronized timed <br />route, achieved through design ind engineering, construction and installation of held <br />controllers and maintenance and monitoring to ensure continuous improvement of the <br />svstenr. <br />PLoiec t Plan and 5cliedule <br />To verify and monitor the irnprovernerrts before and after studies will be initiated using <br />travel tirnes, average speeds, average stops per mile and vehicle emissions. The <br />improvements will occur within existing facilities so there is no anticipated delay for <br />construction and. the project will pursue a timely use of feuds. <br />Data counts will. comply with OCT'A digital format requirements. Jamar or- <br />NDSiSouthland car count format mid include Synchro version to compatible infcrrrnatit>n <br />consistent with the OCT'A ROADS database. <br />The project management will follow CTFP Guidelines for reimbursements and reporting, <br />includi,m, a work schedule with implementation and maintenance operation phases <br />included. <br />ccrlc rrl' ?1? nrl? <br />Design, This task, to be complete in FY 20.11-2012, consists of confirming the survey of <br />equipment, preparation of drawings and schematics for cabinet work, (fiber <br />optic;'corn munication work, CCTV camera installations and other miscellaneous devices <br />and <br />equipment design as necessary. During this tirne the before studies and <br />documentation will be completed. <br />Right-of-Way, No right-of-way is needed for this project. <br />Coil stru Ctio", Construction is schedule for late in the FY2011-2012 fiscal year. The <br />scope of construction work includes: <br />Utility Coordination <br />Traffic Signal Controllers and equipment for synchronization (including CCTV) <br />Communication Devices and Cabling including interconnects and switches <br />Traffic Cabinets, where needed for synchronization <br />Maintenance and _Monitoring of the Traffic Signal Synchronization for 4 years.
