BN providers have also agreed to conduct in -services or <br />workshops 2x a week as part of the YBNP overall project. The in-service workshops may <br />include the following: <br />• Graphics and design <br />• Leadership and Management skills <br />• Computer basic literacy <br />• English as a second language (ESL) <br />• GED classes <br />These workshops are in addition to the work placements each youth will be engaged with BN <br />providers as part of the overall program. Youth participants will have an opportunity to train <br />directly in the areas of — <br />• Marketing & sales <br />• Administrative Assistant <br />• Accounts payable & receivable <br />• Customer service <br />• Recording technician <br />• Beautician <br />• Floor sales agent <br />• Graphics and design artist <br />The full-time case manager assigned will provide also a supportive system for youth who have <br />difficulty acclimating to an enviromnent that is new or unfamiliar to them. Services that are not <br />readily available via the YBNP or the BN providers, the case manager will seek out community <br />resources that will assist the youth participant with their needs. NO youth participant will be <br />placed with a BN provider that he or she is not comfortable OR interested in. Each will be given <br />an opportunity to be interviewed as if applying for a job. The case manager will be responsible to <br />identify which youth participant fits well with which BN provider; however the ultimate decision <br />will be the youth participants.
