C-2-1640 <br />BETWEEN <br />ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY <br />AND <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />FOR <br />FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION SECTION 5307 PROJECT <br />SECURE BIKE PARKING SYSTEM <br />THIS AGREEMENT is effective this day of 2012, by and <br />between the Orange County Transportation Authority, 550 South Main Street, P.O. Box 14184, <br />Orange, California 92863-1584, a public corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to <br />as "AUTHORITY"), and the City of Santa Ana, 20 Civic Center Plaza, M-36, Santa Ana, California <br />92702, a municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the constitution and laws of the <br />State of California (hereinafter referred to as "CITY"), which are sometimes individually referred to as <br />"PARTY", and collectively referred to as "PARTIES". <br />RECITALS: <br />WHEREAS, AUTHORITY and CITY desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement to define <br />the roles and responsibilities related to funding between AUTHORITY and CITY for engineering and <br />construction of Secure Bike Parking System Project; (hereinafter referred to as "PROJECT'); and <br />WHEREAS, the AUTHORITY through the 2010 Transportation Enhancement Call for <br />Projects (TE) offers an opportunity for local agencies to receive Federal Transit Administration <br />(FTA), Section 5307 funds to be used for construction of transit related transportation enhancement <br />projects including bicycle and pedestrian projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the AUTHORITY is the designated grant recipient for FTA Section 5307 funds; <br />and <br />Page 1 of 12 <br />L:Camm\CLER I DAL\CLER I CAL\WORDP ROCW.GR E E\AG21640 <br />25B-3
