SAGE Scholars Program & Summer Scholars Transfer Institute Timeline: Year 1: • Recruit employers to provide OJT internship opportunities to engineering undergraduates through the SAGE Scholars Program. • Collaborate with the City of Santa Ana and Growth Sector to develop a process of establishing OJT contracts with employers that seek to access the wage reimbursement feature of the grant. • Recruit engineering undergraduates to participate in the SAGE Scholars Program where they will receive workplace readiness and professional skills training through credit bearing courses and individualized advising with SAGE staff. • Provide professional skills and leadership development training through the SAGE Scholars Program to engineering participants via credit bearing courses and individualized advising. • Include five Santa Ana College engineering students in the Summer Scholars Transfer Institute at UC Irvine.
