<br />Mr. Heermance has over 30 years of experience in the installation, operation, maintenance and
<br />management of electronic equipment and communications, and fiber optic systems. He offers a
<br />thorough understanding of data communications, fiber optics, video, and their application to
<br />Intelligent Transportation Systems and has well developed management skills, and is proficient with
<br />construction management and practices.
<br />Automated Traffic Surveillance and Control (ATSAC) Projects, Los Angeles, CA - Mr.
<br />Heermance has been Project Manager of twelve completed ATSAC projects for the City of Los
<br />Angeles over the past 15 years, including Santa Monica Smart Corridor, Hollywood ATSAC, Victory
<br />West ATSAC, Ventura 2B ATSAC, Mar Vista ATSAC, Ronald Reagan Corridor ATSAC, Sepulveda
<br />Pass ATSAC, Culver City ATSAC, Route 405 Corridor ATSAC, Golden State I I ATSAC, Harbor
<br />Gateway ATSAC, and Reseda Phase 1 ATSAC. These projects involved the upgrade of a total of
<br />1900 intersections, including the installation of more than 130 miles of fiber optic and copper cable,
<br />300 Cameras, a complete Sonet network, CCTV Control System, video switch matrices, voice and
<br />data transmission equipment, spread spectrum radio, microwave, atmospheric lasers, vehicle
<br />detection systems, changeable message signs, and equipment at the ATSAC Control Center.
<br />Caltrans CCTV and Fiber Optic Systems, Los Angeles and Orange Counties, CA - Mr.
<br />Heermance has been Project Manager of over 40 completed Caltrans CCTV and Fiber Optic
<br />System contracts, including six on Highway 5 in Los Angeles covering 60 miles of freeway, an
<br />Earthquake Relief project utilizing satellite communications to 32 different traffic elements
<br />throughout Los Angeles County, and several different projects in District 12 on Highways 5, 405 and
<br />55. These projects included the installation of fiber optic and copper cable, 320 cameras, CCTV
<br />Control Systems, video switch matrices, voice and data transmission systems, Sonet network,
<br />data nodes, video nodes, vehicle detection systems, Satellite systems Changeable Message Signs,
<br />Highway Advisory Radio, and equipment at the District 7 and District 12 Traffic Management
<br />Centers.
