<br /> <br /> <br /> Contract Award for Bristol Street Widening <br /> and Bristol Street Water and Sewer Main Improvements <br /> January 22, 2013 <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This project will widen Bristol Street from two to three lanes in each direction, add bike lanes, <br /> increase the sidewalk width, and add parkway and median landscaping. The widening will also <br /> include new traffic signals at the Santa Ana Boulevard and Civic Center Drive intersection, bus <br /> turnouts to improve traffic flow, bioswales to reduce surface run-off, sound walls adjacent to <br /> residential parcels, water and sewer system improvements, and a storm drain to improve drainage. <br /> Once completed, these improvements will enhance the ride quality, surface drainage, and visual <br /> appearance of the Bristol Street corridor. <br /> <br /> The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on October 16 & 17, 2012, and bids were opened on <br /> November 15, 2012.
