Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Award a construction contract to the lowest bidder, All American Asphalt, Inc., for the Bristol <br />Street widening from 2nd to 10th Streets, and for the water and sewer system improvements <br />from 3rd to 10th Streets, in accordance with their bid in the amount of $6,169,256. <br />2. Approve the Cost Analysis, as shown in Exhibit 1, for a total estimated project delivery cost of <br />$7,711,582. <br />3. Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting Orange County Transportation Authority <br />Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Measure M2 Arterial Capacity <br />Enhancements allocation in the amount of $3,120,000 into the Measure M Street Construction <br />revenue account (03217002-52332) and appropriating the same to the Measure M2 Street <br />Construction expenditure account (03217662-66220). Also, accepting Orange County <br />Transportation Authority Prop 1 B Bond funding in the amount of $3,120,000 into the Prop 1 B <br />Bond revenue account (03017002-52363) and appropriating the same to the Prop 1B Bond <br />expenditure account (03017660-66220), for the Bristol Street Widening Project (No. 08-1700). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Bristol Street is a regionally significant north-south corridor which is designated as a major arterial <br />highway in the City's General Plan Circulation Element. Bristol Street between Warner Avenue <br />and Memory Lane is a long-term widening project scheduled to be completed in several phases as <br />funding becomes available. Two phases have already been completed, and it is anticipated that <br />two more phases, including this one, will be needed to complete the widening. This phase will <br />widen Bristol Street between 2nd and 10th Streets, as shown in Exhibit 2. <br />20E-1
