Safety conditions the Contractor shall consider during <br />daily inspections are pinch points, sharp edges, lack of sand depth beneath <br />equipment, splintering, loose connections, missing parts, etc. <br />4) The Contractor shall also inspect weekly playground/tot-lot amenities <br />including but not limited to retaining walls (concrete, rock, wood, etc.), <br />signage, bridges, etc. Should the Contractor find an unsafe condition they <br />shall reported it to the Director immediately who then shall dispatch City <br />forces to repair or correct the unsafe condition. <br />5) Should the Contractor determine during their weekly safety <br />inspection that a portion of or all of the sand areas have eroded to below 10" <br />in depth they shall notify the Director immediately who then shall take action <br />to provide additional sand. Once the sand is delivered it shall be the <br />Contractor's responsibility to spread the sand evenly over the area. <br />H. GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND CLEAN-UP <br />1) The Contractor shall collect all clippings, trimmings, cuttings, rubbish and <br />debris at all work sites and dispose of it in a lawful manner at the <br />Contractor's expense daily. <br />2) All trash and debris shall be removed from all worksites daily. <br />3) The contractor shall rake, hand remove, or vacuum leaves that are not <br />absorbed by planting. This shall be done as often as required to maintain <br />a neat appearance, or prevent plants from being smothered by seasonal <br />leaf drop. <br />4) After heavy windstorms, the entire area shall be cleaned of litter, fallen <br />branches, etc., which are in excess of normal amounts. <br />5) The contractor shall keep sidewalks and paved areas in the medians swept <br />and cleaned of any debris, weeds, dirt or soil at all times Drain inlets shall <br />be cleaned on a regular basis to avoid flooding of areas during inclement <br />weather. <br />6) The Contractor shall maintain drinking fountains in a clean, unplugged and <br />operable condition. The Contractor to the Director for repair shall report any <br />damage to or malfunction of drinking fountains for any cause promptly. <br />a. OTHER REQUIREMENTS <br />1) Replacement of Plant Material <br />a. The Contractor shall notify the Director within four (4) days of the <br />foss of plant material due to any cause. <br />25H-35 <br />
