City of Santa Ana, PWA <br />RFP - Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Inspection of Sanitary Sewer Mains <br />Records Act. <br />F. The City reserves the right to reject, replace and approve any and all subcontractors. <br />All subcontractor(s) shall be identified in the response to the RFP and the City reserves <br />the right to reject any subcontractor(s). Subcontractors shall be the responsibility of the <br />prime contractor and the City shall assume no liability of such subcontractors. <br />G. The City reserves the right to delayed scheduled dates if it is to the advantage of the <br />City. <br />H. The contractor, at the conclusion of a task shall submit an invoice to the City for the <br />service rendered in that task. The invoice shall include a detailed breakdown on the <br />services, project title and limits, the tasks, the hours, the unit costs, or the hourly rates <br />or percentage completed. <br />1. Compensation: <br />The 300,000 linear feet is an estimate only and is shown solely for the purpose of <br />comparing proposals. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of <br />any quantity shown without any adjustment in the unit price. <br />Contractor shall be paid the unit price shown in the bid for the amount of work actually <br />completed. In special circumstances, the contractor may be called on to provide emergency <br />video service for a specific problem area or may encounter work that is atypical in nature and <br />requires extra time to complete. In such cases the contractor may elect to invoke an hourly <br />rate for services in lieu of the unit price. The City reserves the right to approve the <br />contractor's request for an hourly rate of compensation and shall base its approval on the <br />following criteria: <br />The hourly rate is designed to allow the contractor fair compensation for work performed that <br />is of an emergency or of an unusual or unexpected nature. Such work would reasonably be <br />expected to consume significantly more time than it would take to complete video in most <br />areas of the City. <br />The hourly rate shall be calculated by taking the unit rate for CCTV Inspection and <br />multiplying that rate by a factor of 400. <br />6 <br />19C-8
