Award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Atlas- Allied, Inc., in accordance with the <br />Base Bid in the amount of $258,760 for the construction of Parton Street sewer main <br />improvements. <br />2. Approve the Cost Analysis for a total estimated project delivery cost of $323,400 as shown in <br />Exhibit 1. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project consists of replacing the old, deteriorated, and undersized sewer main located under <br />Parton Street between 10th Street and Washington Avenue as shown in Exhibit 2. The <br />improvements include installing a new sewer main, sewer laterals, manholes, and appurtenances. <br />Once completed, the sewer main breaks and blockages associated with older and deteriorated <br />systems will be eliminated, and the flow capacity will be increased, which would significantly <br />reduce the chance of future sewer overflows. <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on January 11 and 14, 2013, and bids were opened on <br />January 29, 2013.
