REDLINE VERSION <br />'F City of Santa Ana <br />. <br />Administrative <br />City Manager's Authorization <br />Policies and Procedures <br /> Section <br />City Council Recognition Policy Date Revised: Number <br /> 2013 XXX <br />PURPOSE: <br />Establish-Update guidelines for recognition of individuals, groups, and events by <br />issuance of proclamations and certificates of recognition. <br />PROPOSAL: <br />Imple-me t-a-Revise the City Council Recognition Policy nrOGess that -AO to allow the <br />Gity Council to be consistent in determining the appropriate number of presentations at <br />each City Council meeting, and the level and category of each presentation award. This <br />process will not only ensure consistency among each presentation but will also <br />decrease the costs of providing recognition. <br />PROCEDURES: <br />It shall be the policy of the City Manager's Office that in evaluating a Council requests <br />for recognition, staff will use the guidelines of this policy as a basis for deciding <br />appropriate recognition. Based upon these guidelines, G4 Councilmembers may ire <br />award recognition as is appropriate to the type of request. This item The recognition <br />reques may then be considered for placement on the agenda for presentation at a City <br />Council meeting, be or presented at an outside meeting or event, or be mailed to the <br />recipient. <br />Further, it is the policy of the City Council that the City Manager's Office will process all <br />requests for recognition that meet this policy as a matter of routine.
