SANTA ANA QUIET ZONE <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Overview and Basis of Design <br />The City of Santa Ana desires that RailPros provide Engineering Services to assist the City in obtaining a <br />quiet zone at Santa Ana Boulevard and 4`h Street. In addition the City desires that RailPros provide On- <br />Call support for Engineering Services related to Grade Crossings and Associated Traffic Signals as well as <br />for supplemental quiet zone documentation and coordination needs. <br />The services to be provided will be broken into separate tasks and described, along with associated fees, <br />separately below. All tasks, unless otherwise specified, will be performed on a time and materials basis <br />and billed in accordance with current contract rates as detailed in the attached rate sheet. The total fee <br />value of all services to be provided under these tasks is not to exceed $24,900.00 collectively. <br />TASK 1 <br />Services <br />Task 1 will consist of two subtasks as detailed in the sections below. <br />Task 1A <br />RailPros will prepare documentation for the Quiet Zone Notice of Establishment (NOE), including the <br />items detailed below, and assist the City in complying with Quiet Zone Signage requirements and in <br />coordinating with OCTA, railroads, the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), California Public Utilities <br />Commission (CPUC) and any other relevant agencies. Coordinating early in the development of the <br />project facilitates the submittal and approval process for obtaining a quiet zone. <br />RailPros will provide the following services: <br />• Coordination with City, Railroads, OCTA and Regulatory Agencies in responding to Comments <br />from the NOI and the preparation of the NOE <br />• Prepare Response to NOI Comments for submittal <br />• Provide information and support to the City regarding the placement of Quiet Zone Signage <br />• Site Inspection <br />• Prepare updated Quiet Zone Calculations <br />• Prepare Inventory Updates (pre and post construction) <br />• Prepare Draft NOE document for City Review and Comment <br />• Prepare Final NOE document with Exhibits based upon City Feedback <br />Task 1B <br />This task is a contingency for any unplanned overrun of Task 1A services or any additional unforeseen <br />services required to establish the quiet Zone.
