The site is next to the Pacific Electric bike trail <br />on Maple Street and is designed as a bike reststop, <br />passive neighborhood park with tot lot, community <br />garden, seating area for gardening classes, security <br />lighting, dry stream /native planting, and decomposted <br />granite walking trail. <br />PROJECT COSTS <br />Engineering <br />Construction <br />PROJECT NEED: <br />There are no park sites within a 112 mile radius of this <br />property. The 1.4 acre site is excess property from <br />the realienment of McFadden Ave and is owned by <br />the City of Santa Ana. The community have <br />requested this site be developed as a park and was <br />involved in the preparation of the concept plan. The <br />total project cost is approx. $2,290,000.
