Contract Award to KASA Construction, Inc., for <br />Flower Street Bike Trail Gap Closure <br />June 3, 2013 <br />Page 3 <br />A total of eight bids were received and deemed responsive. The lowest responsive bid was <br />received from KASA Construction, Inc. in the amount of $927,942.50, and it compares favorably <br />with the Engineer's Estimate of $1,028,100. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended action is exempt <br />from further review. Categorical Exemptions Environmental Review No. 2006-197 was filed for <br />this project. In addition, a Certification of Categorical Exemption and a Statutory Worksheet have <br />been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />A Project Cost Analysis, as shown in Exhibit 1, determines that the total funds needed to deliver <br />the project are $1,307,520. That total includes the construction contract, construction <br />administration, testing, and contingencies.
