Therefore, all work shall be completed on the scheduled day, as shown <br />on the weekly and daily schedules. <br />L. PERFORMANCE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER <br />During periods of storms, Contractor will provide supervisory inspection of <br />the project during regular hours to prevent or minimize possible damage <br />from inclement weather. Contractor shall submit a report identifying any <br />storm damage to the Projects Manager or designee attached to a site <br />map identifying location of damage and cost estimate to repair/replace. If <br />remedial work is required beyond the scope of this contract, it shall be <br />considered as extraordinary work. <br />During periods of inclement weather, i.e. rain/wind; Contractor's <br />workforce shall accomplish work not affected by such weather, i.e. litter <br />pick up/spent blossom removal, preventative maintenance, etc. <br />1) Contractor shall stake and re-tie trees as required. <br />2) Drains shall be checked and cleaned as necessary. <br />3) Contractor shall remove all branches and debris resulting from <br />inclement weather. <br />4) Contractor may be required to perform additional clean-up tasks due <br />to inclement weather. <br />5) Failure to adjust work force to show good work progress shall result in <br />a penalty of $300.00. <br />M. WORK FORCE <br />1) The Contractor shall insure that all work under this agreement is <br />supervised by Contractor employed supervisory personnel who <br />are technically qualified and possess management skills required <br />to implement modern methods and newly developed horticultural <br />procedures. The Contractor shall provide for the on-site services <br />of a landscape maintenance expert, acceptable to the City, with <br />an extensive background in Ornamental Horticulture, for a <br />minimum of four (4) hours per month. The Ornamental <br />Horticulturist shall accompany Projects Manager or designee on <br />an inspection tour for evaluation of the Contractor's work <br />performance every month. <br />2) The Contractor shall insure that all work under this agreement is <br />performed by fully qualified, experienced personnel, directly <br />employed by the Contractor. <br />3) The Contractor shall be responsible for the skills, methods, <br />appearance and action of Contractor's employees and for all work <br />25E-21
