AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 2013-02 <br />' Filed by Paula Halverson requesting to change the zoning of the property to a specific <br />development designation and to create development standards for the McFadden <br />Place Center at 1400-1441 South Village Way and 2100 East Wilshire Avenue located <br />in the Light Industrial (M1) zoning district. <br />PUBLISHED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER: May 31, 2013 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: May 30, 2013 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend that the City Council adopt an ordinance approving Amendment <br />Application No. 2013-02. <br />Principal Planner Vince Fregoso presented the staff report and recommendation. <br />Commission discussion ensued regarding parking ratios in Industrial vs. Commercial <br />areas, reduction of the City's available Industrially-zoned property, potential conflicts <br />with areas identified in the proposed Emergency Shelter Ordinance, and lack of <br />information on the proposed changes to the center's sign program. <br />Executive Director Trevino stated that staff would bring the sign program back <br />' before the Planning Commission for review. <br />The public hearing was opened. Applicant Paula Halverson representing Makena <br />Properties spoke in support of the project. <br />No public members spoke. The public hearing was closed. <br />MOTION: Recommend that the City Council adopt an ordinance approving <br />Amendment Application No. 2013-02.
