STANDARD 2: BUSINESS SERVICE PLAN <br />Introduction and Overview <br />The Section addresses the following State Standards, namely that the plan: <br />• integrates local business involvement and workforce initiatives. <br />• Forms local partners with priority industry sector employers, and education in <br />developing and operating regional workforce and economic development networks. <br />• Facilitates and /or participates in unified workforce services support to employers within <br />the labor market, integrating with other relevant local WIB's, educators, and other <br />partners. <br />• Leads in identifying and obtaining resources to sustain operation of regional workforce <br />and economic development networks over time <br />The "business plan" for implementing the vision, strategic initiatives, goals, and workforce <br />analysis above rests on the following fundamental principles: <br />• Expansion of WORK Center one -stop services to create a seamless experience for <br />system users; <br />• Continuation of established successful programs that have achieved measurable <br />success; <br />• Addition of new training and career pathway ideas and strategies to meet changing <br />cluster, industry, labor force, and needs; <br />• Optimization of collaborative strategies between business, labor, educational, and <br />service sectors through the agency and leadership of the WIB; <br />• Outreach and collaboration with Anaheim and Orange County WIBs; education <br />institution and well established business organizations; <br />• Search for additional funding to supplement that currently in place <br />Current and Future Composition of Santa Ana WIB <br />The Santa Ana WIB now consists of 31 <br />members, in the categories shown. <br />The categories of social services and <br />advocacy nonprofits have been <br />combined. Some of the service <br />organizations might be considered <br />public entities, but for this analysis, <br />we have identified only economic and <br />community development personnel <br />as government.
