The 1.46 acre site currently consists of
two parcels. The northern parcel (719 South Sullivan Street) currently contains a
small single-family residence, with the south parcel the current home of Bat Nha.
The rear of the site contains a few ancillary buildings and surface parking for the
current use. The applicant is proposing to demolish all structures on both sites and
construct atwo-level facility. The ground level, semi-subterranean will contain 115
parking spaces. The upper podium level will contain the worship space, office areas
and landscaped gardens. Ms. Haluza reviewed the community outreach meetings
that were held as well as the project entitlements. The project will require a
conditional use permit to allow a church in the Single-Family (R-1) Residential
zoning district, variances from the parking and height standards and a lot merger to
combine the two lots into one parcel.
Planning Commission Minutes
2
July 22, 2013
