STATEMENT OF WORK <br />City of Santa Ana I Water Resources Division <br />8 -01 -2013 to 7 -31 -2014 <br />General Scope of Work: SL will first focus on establishing the initial design and name of the <br />newsletter, then laying out each issue and completing production. Activities will include client <br />meetings and conference calls, obtaining estimates, research, interviews, copywriting, editing, <br />design, proofing, and coordinating with the printer. Not included in the scope of the budget is actual <br />printing or other significant reimbursable costs such as photography. Budget allocation: 15% <br />MEDIA RELATIONS <br />Overview: The City of Santa Ana has recognized the importance of a more proactive media relations <br />campaign to better communicate the role of the public works agency, its positive impact on the lives <br />of residents, its important projects and accomplishments, as well as water conservation and other <br />green initiatives. <br />General Scope of Work: SL will focus on crafting well -honed message points and stories for the <br />City of Santa Ana, Water Resources Division. We will write and handle placement of periodic press <br />releases and stories. We may recommend a PR campaign to better promote positive stories for <br />Santa Ana and engage its residents. Budget allocation: 15% <br />FOG PROGRAM <br />Overview: Keeping Santa Ana's sewer system free from fats, oils and grease (FOG) is important for <br />public health and the environment. The Water Resources Division has established a FOG Program to <br />educate and update residents about ways to prevent pollution in waterways and the ocean. <br />General Scope of Work: We will promote this program by developing communications pieces <br />such as flyers, assisting with copywriting, editing, translation, and design services. Budget <br />allocation: 10% <br />BUS SHELTER ADS <br />Overview: Periodically, the Water Resources Division promotes special message points, <br />campaigns and announcements via bus shelter advertising throughout the city. <br />General Scope of Work: SL will assist in designing and writing copy for these ads, completing <br />production of camera -ready art and coordinating the artwork with the City's print vendor.
