Adopt Ordinance to Create Arts and Culture Commission <br />December 2, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />The staffing for the Arts and Culture Commission will be accomplished with existing budgeted <br />resources. For example, two full time Senior Management Assistants will be added to the City <br />Manager's Office and recruitment were posted on November 20. Arts and Culture has been <br />identified within the top five priority focus areas for the City in the recent Strategic Planning <br />efforts. <br />The development of the nomination applications for City Council appointment consideration will <br />begin in December and will be made available to the public in January. The recruitment process <br />for nominee consideration will take place in February and March with an expected completion of <br />the appointment of the Arts and Culture Commission Members in April. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The funding for the full time staff member that will support the Arts and Culture Commission is in <br />the FY 13 -14 approved budget. <br />2""�Iva <br />Gerardo Mouet <br />Executive Director <br />Parks, Rec. and Com.
