Total number of unduplicated households (Santa Ana and Non -Santa Ana households) anticipated to be served by <br />the funded program, named above, during the 12 -month contract period. <br />1,200 Households <br />II. Number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana households to be served by the funded program, named above, during <br />the 12 -month contract period. <br />990 Households <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />A. FAIR HOUSING COMPLIANCE: - Respond to 10 or more allegations of discrimination resulting in a case file. We will <br />address all allegations of housing discrimination made by current or potential Santa Ana households. If investigation supports <br />allegations or where evidence of continuing unlawful discrimination warrants additional action, we involve administrative <br />enforcement agencies and /or legal counsel. <br />B. COMMUNITY EDUCATION: - Involvement in at least 8 community events, and 4 community meetings reaching over 120 <br />heads of households. Distribute about 700 information packets. Offer a poster /essay contestwithin elementary schools. <br />Conduct 6 workshops on landlord- tenant and fair housing laws for tenants (4) and owners and managers (2). Provide a fair <br />housing presentation to City staff. Provide 4 fair housing presentations to non - profit groups. Provide 3 foreclosure prevention <br />workshops. Offer training to real estate agents, lenders, and other housing industry professionals. <br />C. LANDLORDITENANT COUNSELING: Handle about 1,120 requests for service, from about 970 unduplicated households, <br />addressing about 2,800 inquiries, disputes or issues. Most discrimination occurs within the landlord /tenant relationship, so this <br />activity is important in facilitating our agency's primary goal. About 30% of the investigative caseload originates from <br />landlord /tenant contacts. We assist people in resolving questions and avoiding disputes over evictions, deposit returns, <br />substandard conditions, and other landlord /tenant matters. Staff counsels individuals about their respective rights and their <br />responsibilities. An important aspect of this activity is community empowerment by educating clients and providing them <br />resources to allow them to resolve their problem through their actions. <br />D. CITY ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: - Provide data collection, analysis and reporting to city CDBG administrators as well as <br />HUD auditors as required. We will support efforts to implement actions to overcome impediments and report actions and <br />progress to HUD. <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana households to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter.
