7:00 a.m. No watering shall occur during the daytime <br />unless associated with irrigation check /repairs or with <br />prior approval by the Projects Manager or designee. <br />h. Contractor shall provide irrigation personnel fully <br />trained in all phases of landscape irrigation systems <br />operation, maintenance, adjustment, and repair. This <br />is to include diagnosis and repair of controllers, valve <br />wires, control valves, lateral lines, gate valves, main <br />lines, strainers, pressure regulators, backflow devices, <br />moisture sensors, master valves, and electric <br />pedestals. Contractor shall maintain an adequate <br />stock of medium and high usage items for repair of all <br />irrigation systems. <br />i. Note: Contractor has the responsibility to adequately <br />diagnose problems and take corrective action as called <br />for in the contract specifications. Should the City be <br />called upon to diagnose an irrigation problem that is <br />Contractors responsibility, the City's labor and material <br />cost incurred will be deducted from the monthly <br />payment to Contractor. <br />j. Automatic controllers and /or enclosures shall be locked <br />while unattended. <br />k. All controller enclosures must be painted in approved <br />colors, as needed, to prevent rusting and maintain <br />good appearance. System Maintenance: Once a year <br />during the month of March, Contractor shall wipe down <br />the equipment in the irrigation controller cabinet to <br />remove all dust and dirt, clean all electrical <br />connections, install bait traps for control of ants, <br />replace batteries as required, clean and remove <br />intruding soil in valve boxes and replace gravel, as <br />originally specified. <br />I. All hinges and locks shall be regularly oiled to ensure <br />trouble free operation. <br />m. Sprinkler heads shall be kept clear of overgrowth that <br />may obstruct maximum operation. <br />n. Repairs made to the irrigation system must be made in <br />accordance with the system's original design with <br />products equal to or higher quality than currently <br />provided. Workmanship shall be performed in <br />accordance with industry standards. <br />o. Contractor shall be responsible for regular monitoring <br />of all systems and correcting for: coverage, <br />
