b. All trash and debris shall be removed from all worksites a <br />minimum of one (1) time per week. <br />c. The Contractor shall rake, hand remove, or vacuum leaves <br />that are not absorbed by planting. This shall be done as <br />often as required to maintain a neat appearance, or <br />prevent plants from being smothered by seasonal leaf drop <br />at least weekly or as directed by Projects Manager or <br />designee. <br />d. After heavy windstorms, the entire contract area shall be <br />cleaned of litter, fallen branches, etc. Contractor shall <br />respond to calls from Projects Manager or designee <br />immediately. Contractor shall patrol all areas during heavy <br />windstorms for trees down, fallen branches, hanging <br />branches, debris, and other potential hazards. <br />e. The Contractor shall keep sidewalks and all paved areas in <br />the medians and under overpasses swept and cleaned of <br />any debris, weeds, dirt or soil. Tree wells shall be <br />maintained weed free. <br />OTHER REQUIREMENTS <br />1) Replacement of Plant Material <br />a. The Contractor shall notify the Projects Manager or <br />designee within forty eight (48) hours of the loss of plant <br />material due to any cause. <br />b. The Contractor shall remove shrub, turf or ground cover, <br />which is damaged or lost due to any cause at no cost to <br />the City. The size and species of replacement shrubs, turf <br />or ground cover plants shall be as directed by the Projects <br />Manager or designee. <br />C. In order to ensure maximum healthy growth and overall <br />aesthetic appearance of planting in the work area, it may <br />be desirable to replace certain plants. The necessity or <br />desirability of such plant replacement shall be determined <br />by the Projects Manager or designee. <br />d. The Contractor shall replace, at Contractor's own expense, <br />any turf, ground cover, shrubs, or other plant material <br />requiring replacement through normal attrition or due to <br />infestation or to negligence resulting from Contractor's <br />failure to provide maintenance in accordance with the <br />provisions of this agreement. It is the intention of the City <br />to require a high level of quality in landscape maintenance <br />compatible with standard practice as determined by the <br />Projects Manager or designee. <br />
