comparable job titles in the labor market, while maintaining internal pay <br />equity relationships and attracting and retaining qualified candidates. <br />G. In keeping with the goals of the proposed Strategic Plan, the City Manager <br />proposes creating the new full time classification title of Downtown <br />Development Liaison in order to continue to pursue objectives that shape <br />downtown Santa Ana into a thriving, culturally diverse, shopping, dining <br />and entertainment destination. <br />H. In order to assist with facilitating diverse housing opportunities and <br />support efforts to preserve and improve the livability of Santa Ana <br />neighborhoods, the Executive Director of Personnel Services proposes <br />creating the new full time classification title of Neighborhood Improvement <br />Projects Specialist which properly reflects the duties and responsibilities to <br />be performed, and is consistent with the City's overall classification <br />structure. <br />In order to continue providing efficient and effective services within the <br />Santa Ana Jail and ensuring a sound fiscal model for jail operations, the <br />Interim Police Chief proposes creating the new part time classification title <br />of Correctional Services Officer. <br />J. Based on a labor market compensation study, the City Manager proposes <br />providing market median parity adjustments to six (6) Executive <br />Management Classifications to ensure that the City attracts qualified <br />applicants and retains qualified incumbents in these positions. <br />K. The Interim Executive Director of Public Works proposes adding one (1) <br />full time position and reallocating one (1) full time position in the current <br />annual budget in order to ensure departmental needs are met. <br />L. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution Nos. 82 -110 and 91 -066, as <br />amended, and the Annual Budget for Fiscal Years 2013 -2015, as <br />amended, in order to effect these changes. <br />Section 2: That Section 3 Assignment of Classes of Employment To Salary <br />Rate Ranges of Resolution No. 82 -110, as amended, be further amended by adding, in <br />alphabetical sequence, the following two full time classification titles at the monthly <br />seven -step salary rate ranges as set forth below: <br />Classification Title <br />7 -Step Salary Rate Range Effective 4/1/14 <br />SRR <br />Downtown Development Liaison 664 <br />Neighborhood Improvement Projects 663 <br />Specialist <br />Resolution No. 2014 -011 <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />Monthly Salary <br />Minimum- Maximum <br />$5330 - $7141 <br />$5304 - $7107 <br />
