PODIUM <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />APRIL 1, 2014 <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE SERVICE <br />EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION — <br />PART -TIME CIVIL SERVICE <br />K �, wk: <br />CLERK�OF COUNCIL <br />• , <br />• • `. f ik <br />ak , <br />CONTINUED TO <br />MWEI[NETINT159. <br />Approve a consolidated Memorandum of Understanding with the Service Employe <br />employment, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and C <br />Attorney, <br />through ! 2015. <br />The provisions of this agreement include: <br />1) Work Schedule: PTCS employees may work an average of 20 -39 hours per week <br />and may not exceed 160 hours in any two consecutive pay periods based on <br />departments' business needs. <br />2) Salaries: PTCS employees' salaries will be increased 1 % retroactive to 7/1113. <br />3) CaIPERS: PTCS employees' PERS contribution will be increased by 1% retroactive to <br />7/1/13. <br />4) Health Insurance: The City will increase the contribution for Health Insurance to cover <br />75% of the premium costs for the employee and any dependents. The contribution <br />amount will be set at the 2014 CaIPERS rates or at the rate of the lowest cost HMO, <br />whichever is greater. <br />25C -1 <br />
