Request of Applicant This request is by the applicant, Sherrie A. Gibson, to have the residence at 2214 North Greenleaf Street designated to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties and categorized as Contributive. Project Location and Site Description The subject property is located at 2214 North Greenleaf Street (Exhibit 1). It includes a 1,0$4 square foot residence and a detached garage. The site is surrounded primarily by residential land uses and is zoned R1 (Single Family Residential) with a General Plan Land Use Designation of LR -7 (Low Density Residential). It is located within the Floral Park neighborhood. Project Background This project entails applying the selection criteria established in Chapter 30 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, Places of Historical and Architectural Significance, to determine if this structure is eligible for historic designation to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties. In March 1999, the City Council approved an ordinance establishing the Historic Resources Commission and the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties. The Historic Resources Commission may, by resolution and at a noticed public hearing, designate as historical property any building or part thereof, object, structure, or site having importance to the history or architecture of the city in accordance with the criteria set forth in Section 30 -2. 1
