DISCUSSION Request of Applicant Due to a lack of quorum at the July 1, 2010 Historic Resources Commission meeting, the application has been re- noticed for a special meeting on August 12, 2010. This request is for three structures to be designated to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties (Exhibit 1). The applicants are the homeowners: Donald and Joanne Payne at 2022 North Ross Street; Mel and Catherine Ladd at 2127 North Greenleaf Street; and Anthony Michalski at 917 North Louise Street. No known code violations exist at any of these properties. Analysis of the Issues The structures identified meet the minimum selection criteria for inclusion on the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties pursuant to criteria contained in Section 30 -2 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. The first criterion for selection requires that structures be 50 or more years old. As detailed in the following property descriptions, the structures proposed for placement on the Register meet the minimum age criterion. The analysis further indicates the criteria each property meets for consideration of historic designation. X
