intended course of instruction for reimbursement under the provisions of this <br />policy. <br />C. Within three months after he /she has completed the course and received his/her <br />final grade, the employee must include official verification of his /her final grade <br />with appropriate receipts for tuition and textbook costs to the Personnel Services <br />Department. These will be returned to the employee upon request. Applications <br />not submitted to the Personnel Services Department within three months <br />following completion of the course become void. <br />D. Upon receipt of the required documentation, the Personnel Services Department <br />will determine whether the completed course of instruction is compatible with the <br />provisions of Sections 2 and 3 of this Article. If found to be compatible, the <br />Personnel Services Department will compute the amount of reimbursement, <br />authenticate the application, and forward it to the Police Chief. <br />E. The Police Chief will then authorize the Finance and Management Services <br />Department to reimburse the employee the approved amount out of the budget of <br />the Police Department. <br />27 <br />
