Therefore, impacts are considered to be <br />less than significant after mitigation. <br />Level of Significance Before Mitigation <br />Potentially significant. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />Implement mitigation measures N -1, N -2, and N -6. <br />Level of Significance After Mitigation <br />Less than significant. <br />Airport and Private Airstrip Noise Levels <br />Impact 4.5 -5 For a project located within an airport land use plan or, where such a plan has not <br />been adopted, within two miles of a public airport or public use airport, the project <br />would not expose people residing or working in the project area to excessive noise <br />levels. <br />For a project within the vicinity of a private airstrip, the project would not expose <br />people residing or working in the project area to excessive noise levels. <br />[CEQA Noise Threshold I I(e)] <br />[CEQA Noise Threshold I I(f)] <br />Impact Analysis <br />This impact discussion analyzes the potential for nearby airports and nearby private airstrips to <br />expose people residing or working in the project area to excessive noise levels. <br />The nearest airport to the project site is John Wayne Airport (JWA). JWA is approximately 6 miles <br />from the project site. The site is not within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Notification <br />Area, lying outside the Noise Impact Zone. Noise from aircraft activity is, therefore, not considered a <br />primary source of noise in the project area.
