Contract Award for Local Streets Resurfacing <br />Using Tire Rubber Modified Slurry <br />June 17, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />Bid procedures have been followed as established by the City's Municipal Code and in adherence <br />to the Public Contracts Code. The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on April 25 and 28, 2014, <br />and bids were opened on May 15, 2014. The bid amount of $961,074.50 is 12.6 percent under the Engineer's <br />Estimate of $1,100,000. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are exempt <br />from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. 2014 -49 was filed for this <br />project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The estimated total delivery cost of this project is $1,300,000, which includes construction <br />administration, inspection, testing, survey and contingencies (Exhibit 1).
