Agreements for Janitorial Maintenance Services <br />July 15, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />Staff has met with Santa Fe Building Maintenance and they have agreed to honor the pricing submitted <br />in their April 2013 proposal. The first year of the agreement Includes a base agreement amount of <br />$357,832. The second year of the agreement includes a base agreement amount of $365,433. A ten <br />percent contingency ($72,327) will be added to the two -year agreement for a total not to exceed <br />agreement amount of $795,592. The Santa Fe agreement will save the City $103,664 over the two year <br />period. The proposed agreement start date of October 1, 2014 will provide the additional time <br />necessary for Santa Fe Building Maintenance to identify the staff and equipment needed for the October <br />1, 2014 contract start date, This will also allow the Police Department adequate time to complete the <br />background investigations needed for the 12 -15 contract employees that will be working at the Police <br />Department. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item allows the City to meet Goal #1 Community Safety, Objective #3 (promote fiscal <br />accountability to ensure financial responsibility at all levels of the organization), Strategy A (continuously <br />evaluate and assess fiscal aspect of service delivery to ensure that the Police Department provides <br />programs and services efficiently and effectively). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for this agreement are available in the Police Department Building & Facility Contract Services <br />account (no. 01114403 62300). <br />q_ It. 17 �- <br />Carlos Rojas, Chief of Police <br />Santa Ana Police Department <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Francisco Gutierrez, Executive Director - <br />Finance & Mgmt.
