SCOPE OF WORK <br />I. PURPOSE <br />The City of Santa Ana is seeking an experience contractor to perform preventive and extraordinary <br />maintenance on the citywide traffic signal system and street lighting system. <br />II. TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE <br />1. Scope of Work <br />The Contractor shall furnish all tools, equipment, apparatus, facilities, labors, services, <br />training and materials to perform all work necessary to maintain all traffic signal facilities <br />In a good and worker -like manner according to the proposal submitted and in <br />accordance with these specifications. <br />The traffic signal system maintenance portion of this contract does not cover safety light <br />maintenance, except damage to the combination of traffic signal and safety light pole <br />due to malicious mischief, traffic collision or nature causes. Maintenance of the traffic <br />signal control system located at the City's Traffic Management Center will be done as <br />part of extraordinary maintenance only. <br />2. Service Personnel <br />The Contractor shall provide qualified service personnel to maintain and to service all <br />traffic signal equipment utilized by the City, Personnel shall have at least two years of <br />experience maintaining and troubleshooting traffic signal equipment, Detailed <br />knowledge of Type NEMA and Type 332 cabinets is required. The city utilizes 2070 <br />controllers with Econolite ASC3 -2070 Firmware. Personnel must be knowledgeable in <br />the use of these controllers. <br />All Lead Maintenance Personnel is required to have an IMSA Traffic Signal level 2 <br />Certification. In addition, all service personnel shall possess an NEC certification. <br />The City reserves the right to refuse the use of any personnel whom in the City's sole <br />opinion are not qualified to work on these systems. An agreed upon personnel list shall <br />be maintained and only those listed are allowed to work in the city. Any changes needs <br />to be authorized by the City. <br />3. List of Signalized Intersections <br />See Appendix "A" for the list of traffic signals, CCTV, flashing beacons, and flashing <br />crosswalks. <br />4. Additions to System <br />The Contractor shall maintain additional traffic signals and appurtenant devices as they <br />are added or installed. City will notify the contractor of such addition and the contractor <br />shall include them in the maintenance contract. Cost of the routine maintenance of the <br />new addition will be per contract unit price and will be effective the 1'c day of the <br />following month unless stated otherwise in the notification. <br />5. Routine Maintenance <br />The routine maintenance shall be performed on a periodically basis based on type of <br />equipment. <br />(a) Traffic Signal: <br />(1) Maintenance period: <br />25L -13 <br />
