Non - Emergency Medical Treatment of inmates <br />As the SAl's MSP, NaphCare will establish policies and procedures for handling and responding to each <br />inmate request for medical treatment Oka: Sick Call), All policies and procedures will he subject to <br />review and approval by the Fail Administrator or designee, <br />a. Medical sick call requests initiated by inmates will be processed daily. NaphCare will be <br />responsible for obtaining sick call forms from housing location an a daily basis and responding to <br />requests within twenty -four (24) hours of receipt. <br />b. NaplhCaro will coaduct sick call line within the housing units on a daily basis, During this period, <br />medical staff will dispense over-the-counter and prescribed meditations; <br />c, if medical services cannot be provided within inmate housing units, NaphCare will schedule <br />inmates for evaluation and /or treatment in designated medical offices within the facility. <br />d. The on -site primary care physician and/or medical director will deternamethe triage mechanism <br />to be used for each inmate's chief complaint or symptoms, <br />e; NaphCare has established and will implement a system that tracks the non- emergency medical <br />request from initial receipt to final disposition, including date of initial complaint and name and <br />title of health care_providerwho provided treatment. <br />f, NaphCare will maintain a log available to the Jail Administrator on all non - emergency medical <br />requests received: . <br />g.
