11, Nutritional Services <br />a. NaphCare, wit be responsible for coordinating with the established food service contractor to <br />ensure the provision of medically necessary clin €caldiets, such as the follouving; <br />i. Cardiac diet <br />ii. Diabetic /caloric controlled diet <br />Ilk Gastric soft dlet <br />IV. Pregnancy diet <br />V. High protem /hlghcalcricdlet <br />A Clear liquid diet <br />vii. Restricted protein. sodium and /or potassium diet <br />b. NaphCare`s staff will evaluate the medical special diet list weekly to determine the necessity of <br />the special diets, <br />c. A report consisting of special diets needs will be generated weekly and submitted to the Security <br />Supervisor. <br />d, Coordination and ordering of special diets will be documented in Inmates' medical files, <br />NaphCare's healthcare providers and staff will work with the <br />Sheriff's office to develop optimal diets to meet the specific <br />nutritional needs of inmates. <br />NaphCare understands these medically necessary diets andlor <br />nutritional supplements (e.g. Ensure) will be provided as <br />medically required and will need to be specifically order by a <br />NaphCare prescribing medical provider based on a diagnosis <br />and nutritional need. <br />NaphCare provides a system for managing the nutritional needs' <br />of Inmates and improving continuity of care We have protocols <br />for the prescription of optimal diets, and our physicians willprescr' <br />the fallowing medical diets when necessary. Dental clinics will provide dental care Including x-ray for diagnostic purposes and extractions, <br />Dental clinics Will not be required to provide oral surgery, orthodiontic services or devices. <br />b, NaphCare will provide an on-site dental care program which staffs license dental practitioners a <br />minimum of four (a) hours per week; <br />c. The dental clinic will be staffed and operated on a set schedule, <br />d. NaphCare will provide alt supplies (e.g, dental tools, lead covers, etc,) <br />e. Minimum staffing for the dental clinic will consist of a licensed Dentist and one Ji) dental <br />assistant, <br />f.
