The plans require the contractor to connect a new 2 1/2 inch main for the new irrigation <br />system at the rear of the holding facility. However, after field investigation, the existing <br />water source was found to be under sized for the new system. Therefore, the contractor <br />was directed to connect to a 3 -inch line located 160 feet away. The cost will include the <br />additional trench work, and pipe materials. (PCO No. 1) A prior approval was grante <br />for this work on October 15, 2014. y <br />Agreed Cost = $2,336.09 <br />2. The contract documents require the contractor to excavate footings at a depth of 3#eet <br />below existing grade. During the excavation, the contractor encountered shallow a6tive <br />sewer laterals that are in conflict with the proposed footings. Therefore, the contractor <br />was directed to increase the footing depth and insert a sleeve around the sewer laterals <br />at these affected locations. This cost will include additional excavation, reinforcement <br />steel and sleeves. (PCO No. 2) <br />Agreed Cost = $1,908.81 <br />
