Santa Ana Zoo's staff requested the building to be shifted 6 -feet from the proposed alignment. <br />As a result, the proposed irrigation and site plans were modified. Consequently, staff took this <br />opportunity and requested the following improvements: <br />a. Contractor was directed to furnish and install a 10 foot by 12 foot holding area adjacent <br />to the west side of the holding building just behind Habitat Area 1. Also, contractor <br />was requested to construct a bamboo fence with gates to enclose the rear of the <br />building. (PCO No. 5) <br />Agreed Cost = $19,792.62 <br />b. Contractor was directed to remove two existing distressed orchid trees located on the <br />north section of the exhibit and utilize these as the deadfall trees for Habitat Area #1 <br />and #2.
