A <br />City of Santa Ana, PWA Agreement Exhibit <br />RFP — ON -CALL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR WATER AND SEWER MAIN <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />I. Tentative Schedule <br />Issue Request for Proposal (RFP) February 13, 2014 <br />Submit Proposals to City March 13, 2014 <br />Presentation and Interview, City shall interview March 31, 2014 — April 4, 2014 <br />the top 6 proposers <br />J. Compensation: City agrees to compensate the consultant, the proposer awarded the <br />project, on an hourly time and material basis, with a not -to- exceed amount. The not -to- <br />exceed amount is inclusive of labor costs and direct costs. Compensation shall be <br />based on the billing rates included within the proposal and the actual services rendered. <br />Reasonable direct costs shall be included within the fee proposal. The City will not pay <br />for extra communication charges, computer charges, or the like. <br />During the proposal period, all questions and requests for additional information must be in <br />writing and emailed (Attention: Rodolfo Rosas at rrosaspa santa- ana.orq). No verbal responses <br />will be given. <br />VI. COORDINATION <br />Coordination by the awarded proposer with various City departments and personnel will be <br />required to achieve satisfactory and timely delivery of the required services. <br />The City will decide the manner in which the coordination efforts with be conducted. At the <br />City's option, coordination efforts may be performed by the proposer's direct contact, by the <br />proposer acting through the City or by the City only. When coordination efforts require <br />agreements, such agreements shall be coordinated through the City. <br />VII. CONTRACTORICONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The selected contractor /consultant will assume responsibilities for all services in its proposal. <br />The selected contractor /consultant shall identify a sole point of contact with the greatest <br />knowledge in regard to the required service operations and contractual matters, including <br />payment of any and all charges resulting from the Agreement. <br />VIII. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS <br />In accordance with Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, the City has <br />determined that the proposer shall possess a license in the classification specified in the Notice <br />Inviting Proposals (If required). <br />
