Discussion of Housing <br />N <br />Development Cap <br />North Transit Node has the potential to <br />• <br />expand its commercial market share by <br />up to 1 ½ miles. <br />Capping residential development in the <br />• <br />North Transit Node would emphasize <br />the desire for commercial development, <br />but would also limit the creation of <br />households to support new retail <br />development, and limit flexibility. <br />S <br />Housing development in the Corridor <br />• <br />and remaining two Transit Nodes would <br />need to be preserved in order to better <br />focus commercial development at North <br />Transit Node. <br />S <br />If capped, staff would recommend a cap <br />• <br />of no less than 500 units in the North <br />Transit Node. <br />15 <br />15 <br />
