Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation <br />Funding Program Grant Applications <br />November 18, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />Westminster Ave /17th St Traffic Signal <br />Synchronization <br />Implementation / maintenance <br />$1,402,000 <br />15/16 <br />Main St Traffic Signal Synchronization <br />Implementation / maintenance <br />$1,260,000 <br />15/16 <br />Bear St Traffic Signal Synchronization <br />Im lamentation / maintenance <br />$125,000 <br />15/16 <br />Total <br />$11,986,545 <br />Given the need for these street improvements and the eligibility requirements defined by OCTA, <br />staff recommends that the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing submittal of these project <br />applications for funding consideration and direct staff to incorporate the projects into the Seven - <br />Year CIP. Staff anticipates a response to the grant funding request in March 2015 and an OCTA <br />Board action on the call for projects in May 2015. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy G (develop and implement the City's Capital Improvement Program in <br />coordination with the Community Investment and Deferred Maintenance Plans). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Public Works Agency <br />FM /EWG/ML <br />Exhibit 1: Resolution <br />55D -2 <br />
