OCTA provides bus service along this corridor via Route 37 at <br />approximately 30 minute headways. <br />■ Newhope Street is classified as a Secondary Arterial that travels north and south on the west end of <br />Santa Ana. Within the study area, there are two travel lanes in each direction with a striped center median <br />functioning as a two -way left turn lane. The posted speed limit is 40 miles per hour. On -street parking is <br />not permitted. Class II bike lanes were recently implemented between Westminster Avenue and <br />McFadden Avenue. There are currently no bus routes that serve this corridor. <br />■ Fairview Avenue is classified as a Major Arterial that travels north and south through the study area. <br />Within the study area, there are three lanes in each direction with a raised, landscaped median. The <br />posted speed limit is 45 miles per hour. On -street parking is not permitted and bike facilities are not <br />provided. OCTA provides bus service along this corridor via Route 47 at approximately 15- minute <br />headways. <br />■ 17th Street / Westminster Avenue is classified as a Major Arterial traveling east and west through the <br />northern region in Santa Ana. There are three lanes in each direction divided by a center median. The <br />posted speed limit is 40 miles per hour. On street parking is not permitted and there are currently no bike <br />facilities provided along the corridor. Several OCTA bus routes serve this corridor, including Routes 51 <br />and 60 with approximately 15- to 20- minute headways. <br />■ Hazard Avenue is classified as a Secondary Arterial that travels east and west through the study area. <br />Within the study area, Hazard Avenue is a four lane undivided roadway. Limited on -street parking is <br />permitted adjacent to Rosita Park. The posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour and 25 miles per hour near <br />the school zone. No bus routes or bike facilities are provided along this corridor. <br />■ 5th Street is a four lane undivided roadway east of Harbor Boulevard and a two -lane undivided roadway <br />west of Harbor Boulevard. On -street parking is not permitted immediately east and west of Harbor <br />Boulevard, but is allowed further down the street. The posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour. 5th Street <br />is classified as a local collector west of Harbor Boulevard. East of Harbor Boulevard, 5th Street is <br />classified as a Secondary Arterial. There are pedestrian sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. West of <br />Harbor Boulevard, the sidewalk consists of landscaped buffers adjacent to the curb. East of Harbor <br />Boulevard, there is minimal landscaping. <br />■ 1st Street is classified as a Major Arterial that travels east and west through the study area. Within the <br />study area, there are three lanes in each direction with a raised, landscaped median. The posted speed <br />limit is 40 miles per hour. On -street parking is not permitted along this corridor. There are currently no <br />bike lanes or bike routes provided. OCTA provides bus service along this corridor via Route 64 at <br />approximately 15 minute headways. <br />■ McFadden Avenue is classified as a Secondary Arterial (between Euclid Street and Grand Avenue) and a <br />Primary Arterial (east of Grand Avenue) that travels east and west through the study area.
